Pushing the frontiers of our knowledge
I design and build instruments, operate telescopes, and manage observatory systems. I develop software to control telescope mounts and sensors, and to automate data collection, reduction, and signal processing. I develope algorithms and apply AI to explore and interpret terabyte-scale datasets. I use these techniques to study space objects, including satellites and orbital debris, to make space a safer place.
